SMS Notification Service Launched

A number of enhancements to UK-Limo have been implemented on UK-Limo that affect all advertisers in one way or other.

Here's a brief summary of some major changes with more detailed notes below.

• Enquiries made to advertisers without a membership level can now be made 'public' to paying advertisers.
• Paying advertisers can now see 'public' enquiries via their admin menu.
• New SMS notification service launched.

Changes to the enquiry forms

For those account holders who haven't chosen a membership level, (remember, Bronze is free), a new field has been added to the enquiry form, displayed on the member details page. This field allows any potential client to 'make public' their message, allowing other PAYING members of UK-Limo to follow-up the enquiry.

PLEASE NOTE: The above change ONLY applies to account holders that have NOT chosen a membership level. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum members do not have this extra field included on their enquiry forms and all messages will remain private.

SILVER account holders can now log-in to their account an see any enquiries made within their county, GOLD account holders will see all enquiries made in their region and PLATINUM account holders will see all enquiries for the whole of the UK.

Messages remain visible for 5 days, after which they are automatically removed.

The person who made the enquiry has the option to remove their message at any time from the database.

Why have I implemented this?

Whilst UK-Limo remains free, I am committed to supporting those members who support the site financially through their membership payments. I therefore feel that it's only fair that my paying members benefit most from the enquiries the site generates.

Last month (March 2006), UK-Limo received 15,437 visitors (around 500 visitors / day). All limo companies who've received business through UK-Limo are encouraged to contribute to the success of the site and help make it even better.

With the new UK-Limo SMS notification service, you'll be instantly informed the moment a client places an enquiry through the web site, allowing you to contact the customer within minutes of them sending it. If your e-mail account has a tendency to go 'over quota', it's possible you might miss out on an enquiry. An SMS reminder is the perfect backup and will ensure you have all the information necessary.

What information does the SMS contain?

SMS sender is 'UK-Limo.
The message contains the client's telephone number (if supplied), otherwise their e-mail address, followed by their name. The remainder of the 160 character limit contains as much of the client's enquiry as possible.

How do I start receiving SMS notifications?

Log in to your UK-Limo account - you'll see a new section in your admin menu. Click 'Buy Credits' to set-up your account.

How much does this cost?

Depending on the number of credits you purchase, SMS notification costs as little as 25p per message (+ VAT). The smallest credit option costs just £3.50, giving you 10 SMS credits.

ALL paid advertisers have received 1 free credit as a trial. Simply log-in to your account and switch on the service.

3rd Party Enquiries

Finally, clients who make enquiries to advertisers who've not chosen a membership level have the OPTION to make their enquiry 'public' to paying subscribers.

The new SMS service also allows paying advertisers (Silver members and above) to receive these 3rd party notifications straight away. With this option enabled, you'll get to know about enquiries the moment they're made.
